I'm still in my maternal uncle's house, lazying around trying to study Japanese on my own. I think I can almost memorise the hiragana. It was hard trying to self-study!
Once in a while, I'll feed the tortoise or go to the rooftop and admire the grapes. I've tried one and it was sour beyond your wildest imagination! The crunchy unrippened drop of green. Its sole purpose is to drap around the fence and the gate and create a spot of shade for the garden benches below.
Speaking of that rooftop garden, it is the sole patch of green among the dusty buildings around. Standing there made me feel as though I'm a little girl in a small enclosed garden overlooking the vast expanse of grey buildings and the hazy sky: just me and the whole wide world.
